The Dream

Have you thought past the day you are in, and taken the time to go back from whence you came?

My name is Elaine Rose Thorne and I hail from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe (Rhodesia). You may see that with the Matopos Hills on the horizon, and the wilted Flame Lily at my feet. The hot winds can dry out your bones...waiting for the blessing of rain. You see, Bulawayo is on the edge of the desert 🏜

My journey with painting started at home, on a plot six miles from town. Dad was a wonderful artist, he gave me tips and tricks to the world of art, igniting the thrill of painting that I still have today.

In 2010, my love of watercolour began, even though I've used pastels and acrylics, watercolour is a fabulous medium. In the main I'm self taught.

My art usually has a story behind it, as I feel it brings the subject matter to life, and the viewer may have yet another perspective to what may be seen.

I wish more than anything, that you enjoy what is presented, and that some pieces really speak to you.

Welcome to Elaine Rose Thorne's art story board, and thank you for viewing.
